Who We Are
Capital Planning Corporation is a New Zealand owned and operated company, based in the capital city of Wellington, that is committed to building better businesses and helping people succeed through affordable cloud-based software, intelligent business services and practical knowledge.
What We Do
The team at Capital Planning specialise in effective tools for life planning, financial planning, building inspections and knowledge management systems for businesses, and through our range of SMART products, ensure you have more time to do the things that really matter.
Currently, Capital Planning is in the process of finalising and testing many of the cloud-based applications for ease of use and functionality, as well as creating integrations between them so they are better suited to the user. Our team continues to strive to make your life easier with affordable cloud-based software and services, and is extremely excited by what lays ahead in the fast-paced online world.
With the rapid adoption of web-based applications, Capital Planning began to make its applications more widely available through this developing medium. Our cloud-based software began to take shape and included the design & development of SMART Inspect™, as well as continued development on SMART Knowledge™, SMART Sales™, SMART Dollars™, and SMART Insure™.
While development continued on a growing number of applications, Capital Planning also continued to work closely with a number of business to create help and support systems, including a knowledge help system for Telecom (now Spark), the Ministry of Education, and LINZ. NZ Post also had a help system developed by Capital Planning for their Hong Kong sorting system in both English and Chinese.
Capital Planning’s experience in technical writing began in the early 90’s with database support systems, as well as help and information systems developed for the New Zealand Police, WINZ, LINZ, and Colonial CMG. Development on a range of applications continued for the financial services and insurance industries.
Capital Planning Corporation was established by Selwyn Kenneally, and originally developed life insurance applications in both Australia and New Zealand for NZI Life, Sun Alliance, Guardian, as well as a number of independent businesses. Capital Planning also developed personal financial and life planning tools, as well as point of sale portable notebooks.
